Help on Help
The help files provide you with assistance on the features and functions of each application. They provide several features that help you control the information you see and find the answers you need:
- A Table of Contents (TOC) tab to let you browse
the help topics by subject. Click the + or - next to each book icon (
) to open or close a list of topics.
- An Index tab to let you search for a specific concept or feature. Scroll through the list of entries or type the first few characters of the term you want to find.
- A Search area in the
title bar reveals a list of topics containing the matching term or phrase. The search results show the topic title and the topics are listed in ranked order and include an excerpt of the paragraph text from the topic. You may enter the following types of search queries:
- Full-text and partial-word
- Boolean operators (such as and, or, near, not and ( ))
- Asterisk (*) Wildcard Search
- A glossary of defined terms.
Drop-down hotspots. Click the hotspot to view detailed information about a particular concept or feature.
- Internal hyperlinks that will take you directly to additional related information.
